Fear of the unknown is REAL.

Hey Friends,

Last week I tried something new - and I was nervous.

I was going to run 10 miles with someone who I respect and followed on social media.

His name is Sahil Bloom.

The most I ever ran at a consistent pace was probably 5 miles.

Sahil is training for a marathon and regularly runs 60+ miles A WEEK.

I am not a runner by any means - but I did want to connect with him and push myself into a certain level of being uncomfortable because I know this is the best way to grow.

The thing is I didn't want to slow him down in his training and be an anchor.

That being said I knew I would have to reallly push myself to keep up - this gave me a little anxiety.

Now I had 2 decisions that morning.

I could have decided to not show up and just avoid the run. Stay "safe" and "comfortable"

Or

I could face the unknown and go for it - trusting everything would work out the way it needed to.

You already know I went haha

When I met up with him one of the first things he asked was "how much do you usually run and for how long? You don't have to do the full 10 with me and I can structure the run so that you get a good workout in but don't get hurt"

I just smiled and told him i'm good with 5 miles and was grateful for him accommodating the run for me.

That's us after the run

I did 6 miles - he went on to do the full 10

We had some great conversations about life and business and I am looking forward to joining him in future workouts when we move up to NY next year.

I hope this life event of mine helped show you that your fear of the unknown is holding you back from some incredible experiences.

A doctor on our call kept sharpening her script. She explains wear. She explains recession. She shows old scans next to new ones. She asks what the patient wants for their teeth in ten years. Patients nod. Then they defer. She thought her communication was the problem. Then she told me how her office collects. Cases are about four thousand dollars. Half up front. The rest inside two or three months. No monthly option. That is not a communication problem. I asked her a question. Someone offers...

A doctor on our call said something I think about a lot. She told us her consult is good. Her financing is good. Patients say yes. Then the ClinCheck lands in her inbox and she freezes. She scrolls through the movements. She tries to remember what to look for. It looks fine, so she approves it. And then she feels sick. Because she has no idea what she just approved. Her words: "I feel like I don't know what I don't know." That is the real bottleneck for most doctors. Not the pitch. The plan....

An orthodontist on our team shared a case that went sideways. A 24-year-old walked in with one complaint. Her top front teeth stuck out and she hated how it looked when she smiled. That was it. That was the whole list. Her back teeth were a Class II. But the bite was stable and had been for years. The ortho went after the Class II anyway. Distalization. TADs. Elastics. Attachments. Two years of treatment. The patient hated the elastics. She hated the attachments. She stayed compliant the...
