It's Ok To Admit When You Are Wrong...

Hey Friends,

Neha and I have officially moved!

Today is day 3 in the new home - we moved out of a high rise apartment and are now renting a home about 15 minutes outside of downtown Austin.

This is quite a big change for me and I haven't had a chance to process the move at all because the last 3-4 days have been a whirlwind of packing - shuttling packed goods over to the new place - unpacking (on repeat...)

So we did the move in phases because we wanted to minimize the chaos that ensues after movers pack your stuff for you.

If you have never experienced this - basically what happens is the movers put your stuff in boxes - write something on them - then drop them off at the place you are moving to...

Sounds helpful except for the fact that nobody actually unpacks everything on the first day.

So when you need something like a phone charger or a pair of scissors a day or 2 later... you realize you have no idea where any of your stuff is so you start going through a bunch of boxes which then gets you sidetracked because 45 mins later you've unpacked that random box and forgot why you needed the scissors in the first place 🀣

Neha is one of the most organized and process oriented people I know - and even this move has been a challenge for us but we are taking it in stride and EXTREMELY grateful for my father in law's help the last few days.

Legit have no idea what we would do without him in this process!

Now... we recently traded in our 2 door coupe for an suv... and everyone tells me HOW AMAZING SUVs are...

I am still a fan of coupes BUT this week the SUV has been CLUTCH!!!

I dropped those bad boy back seats down and we LOADED IT UP!

Team SUV get's 1 point for this... and I'm sure it will get many more once baby is here in March lol

This is where I WILL ADMIT I WAS WRONG!

You see I LOVE it when people tell me something can't be done - then I go out and do it.

It's my thing and it fuels me - not sure why but it has helped me accomplish some pretty wild things. (I will bring this up in therapy next week lol)

People told me the coupe was impractical and I would need an SUV for sooooo many things.

The thing is when we had the coupe our life did not entail endless trips to target and home depot lol.

Times have changed now - at least for this move - and I will admit the SUV has been a lifesaver haha

Straight Talk

Team involvement is crucial for the long-term success of clear aligner treatments in a dental practice. Here's an expanded explanation:

  1. Enhanced Patient Experience: When the entire dental team is well-informed about clear aligner treatments, it leads to a more seamless and positive experience for patients. They receive consistent and accurate information at every point of contact within the practice. This not only builds trust but also reduces the chances of miscommunication or confusion.
  2. Efficiency and Productivity: Regular team meetings to discuss clear aligner cases help streamline the treatment process. It allows team members to understand their individual roles and responsibilities, reducing bottlenecks and delays. When the team is well-coordinated, the practice can handle aligner cases more efficiently, leading to improved productivity.
  3. Boosted Team Confidence: When team members are knowledgeable about clear aligner treatments, they become more confident in discussing these options with patients. Confidence is contagious; when the team believes in the benefits of clear aligners, they can convey this enthusiasm to patients, increasing acceptance rates.
  4. Consistency in Patient Care: Consistency is key in healthcare. With clear aligners, consistency in patient care is vital for achieving successful outcomes. Training ensures that every team member knows the standard procedures and protocols. This consistency leads to predictable results for patients.
  5. Team Empowerment: Involving the team in aligner cases empowers them to take on more responsibilities, which can lighten the load on the dentist. When team members are well-trained and knowledgeable, they can handle initial consultations, answer common patient questions, and assist with treatment planning, allowing the dentist to focus on more complex cases.
  6. Long-Term Growth: As the team becomes more involved and efficient in handling clear aligner cases, the practice's reputation for providing quality orthodontic care grows. This can lead to increased patient referrals and long-term practice growth.

Hey Friends, There is a huge problem in our industry. A lot of people are just trying to be average. Why is this a problem? Because when you are just aiming for "stability" and "getting by" you are doing yourself a disservice. You are capable of more than you think you are. I know it because I am living it. When I graduated dental school my wife - Neha - was excited. She was working for a tech startup at the time so she was CRAVING stabilitiy. She thought that we were about to have a stable...

Hey Friends, Only rich and happy dentists do this… They do whatever they want. I connect with dentists all the time on social media now that I have over 47,000 followers Some are rich, poor, happy and sad. The one that the rich and happy dentists have in common is they truly do whatever they want. They use their time the way THEY want to. Whether it is the types of procedures they do, the number of days they work, the places they vacation to, types of car they drive, types of sunglasses they...

Hey Friends, I am reading Dan Martell's book - Buy Back Your Time and I am absolutely hooked. He talks about how valuable your time is and how you can make the most of it by delegating certain tasks to other people. Your time is worth a dollar amount. You have an hourly rate and you calculate it by taking your income and dividing by 2,000 (hours). That number is your hourly rate. Take that number and divide it by 4 That is your buy back rate. If you can pay someone that amount of money per...
