My life just changed for the better!

Published 3 months ago • 4 min read

Hey Friends,

Sorry I missed last week’s newsletter - Neha and I were in the hospital welcoming our baby girl Naira into the world!

Neha and Naira are both healthy and we officially hit the 1 week mark as parents!

We did not know the gender until she was born and we’re so glad we waited because it made the day even more special.

I highly recommend trying to wait if you ever have a kid - it’s one of the biggest tests of will power and honestly isn’t that bad just because of all the other excitement and thoughts that flow around pregnancy.

Leading up to Naira’s birth I was worried that my business would suffer and I wouldn’t be able to continue to grow it

This scared me because you know how much I love growth and improvement.

But then I leaned into riding the wave of life and trusting the universe.

The online business is something that is growing without me actively working on it - a concept that a dentist struggles to wrap his head around because all I knew before this was producing with my own two hands.

This came to life because we had 4 enrollments into the aligner training program happen when I was holding Naira the day we got back from the hospital.

Insane.

My wildest dream came true.

I was holding my child and I was able to positively impact doctors who were hundreds of miles away from me without me having to do anything in that moment.

The work that i’ve been putting in is coming to fruition.

Everything is happening at the speed that it needs to - trusting this can be scary but it is brings peace of mind.

With that being said I have taken the most common piece of advice that’s been shared with me about Naira’s birth “enjoy these moments - they’re precious.”

This is my daily goal (on top of ensuring Neha and Naira abide to the feeding and sleeping schedule 😂)

I’m writing this newsletter at my 7:30am haircut appointment on a Saturday because time is a bit limited these days so bare with me if the formatting is a bit off lol

Why am I getting a haircut when my wife and newborn are at home alone?
We have the newborn photoshoot next week and I look a bit grizzly - also we have the amazing help of my mom and Neha’s sister so the support system is strong 💪🏽

Alright - I hope you enjoy your weekend - talk to ya next week!

Something You Should Know...

I'm thrilled to share with you some important wisdom about one of the most crucial aspects of clear aligner therapy: Patient Selection. Picking the right candidates can make all the difference in successful outcomes and satisfied clients. So, let’s dive into these top 5 tips:

1. Comprehensive Assessment is Key: Before jumping into clear aligners, a thorough evaluation of the patient’s oral health is vital. Look beyond just alignment issues - consider periodontal health, dental history, and overall oral hygiene. The best candidates are those who are as committed to their oral health as we are!

2. Understand Patient Expectations: Clear communication is the backbone of any successful treatment. Ensure your patients have realistic expectations about what clear aligners can achieve for them. It's not just about straightening teeth; it’s about creating a functional, healthy bite and a lasting smile.

3. Don't Overlook Age Factors: While clear aligners are versatile, age can play a significant role in treatment success. Younger patients with still-developing jaws might need a different approach compared to adults. Tailor your treatment plans to suit the specific age-related needs of each patient.

4. Evaluate Complexity of the Case: Not all malocclusions are created equal. Clear aligners are fantastic, but they have their limits. Assess the complexity of the case - severe overcrowding, major bite issues, etc., may require more traditional orthodontic approaches.

5. Emphasize Patient Compliance: Clear aligners require dedication. Ensure your patients are ready and able to commit to wearing their aligners as prescribed. Their success depends on it!

I’m keen to hear how these tips resonate with your experiences and any stories or insights you've got to share. Let's continue to learn from each other and refine our skills in selecting the perfect candidates for clear aligner therapy. Together, we can create more than just straight teeth; we can create lifelong smiles.

Hey Friends, The concept of dental student loan repayment is pretty nuts. You took out around $500k in loans just to learn how to do basic procedures. You come out and know little to nothing Then you have to essentially invest in more education to be able to level up. If you didn't know you needed to do that... now you know lol I say this because I wish I knew that earlier in my career. The first dentist I worked for actually told me CE was a waste of money... (he was wrong - kind of) I think...

Hey Friends, The question posed in the subject may seem redundant to you but focus and "things to focus on" is an interesting concept. Some people think they need to be doing multiple things at once to be productive. Others think they just need to focus on one thing at a time and chip away. I don't know if there is a right answer but lately I have been doing a combo of both. It's helped me make INSANE strides in MEANINGFUL projects that I am working on right now. In the last 2 weeks I have...

Hey Doc, I'll keep this week's newsletter short. A lot of people have been asking me to bring back one of my original programs because they said they wanted a starter program where they could still gain confidence with aligners but at a more approachable price point... I fought it for the longest time because I thought everyone wanted ALL of the value and support that comes with Aligner Launchpad (hence the investment amount) But I realized this was ME thinking about ME. And you are not me....
