The influencer strategy every dentist should know

Hey Friends,

What if I told you your next clear aligner patient is already in your community, ready to market for you?

That’s the power of influencer marketing, and it’s simpler than you think.

Dr. Hardik used this strategy for 2 of his practices and got great results

Local influencers—people with engaged followers in your area—can be your biggest asset.

They’re trusted voices, and their followers listen when they talk.

Dr. Hardik got in touch with Bobby Hobert here in Austin

Bobby wanted invisalign and Dr. Hardik wanted exposure for his practice.

They agreed to swap services.

Bobby would document his aligner journey and make content and post about it in exchange for a free case.

They did a free GIVEAWAY which required followers to comment and follow the DENTAL OFFICE page.

Think about that.

The dental instagram page got an influx of followers and patients who were in the community and interested in the prize.

What was the prize?

A free invisalign case.

You can see the post here:

🔥 Actionable Tip: Partner with one local influencer. Offer them a complimentary aligner case in exchange for authentic content about their journey. The key is to let them share their experience in their voice—it builds trust with their audience and drives leads to your practice. If they have a giveaway it will drive even more patients into your ecosystem.

One influencer can lead to dozens of new patients. Start small, and scale from there.

Video of the Week

I made a whole video on how to use the influencer strategy. Check it out below.

Straight Talk

Being a dentist turned entrepreneur isn’t all roses and rainbows.

It’s hard as hell.

The stress is real.

The pressure never stops. B

ut despite all that, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’m grateful that I get to wake up between 4-5 AM and chase my passion.

I get two uninterrupted hours every morning with my wife and daughter.

I have lunch with them every single day.

That wouldn’t have been possible when I was stuck in the daily grind of back-to-back patients.

I’m grateful that I get to make an impact beyond the dental chair.

That I get to help move the industry forward, giving other dentists the confidence to take control of their practice, their time, and their future.

And most of all, I’m grateful that I can inspire others to chase their dreams—because I know firsthand what it feels like to be stuck, wondering if there’s something more.

It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.

What are you grateful for today?

Your Friend,

Dr. Avi

If you’re too busy to learn aligners — you’re too busy to grow. That used to be me. I’d come home exhausted. Telling myself I’d “figure it out later.” Later never came… until I carved out 30 minutes a week to focus. Fast forward six months — I had 50+ cases under my belt. Here’s how to make real progress in 30 minutes a week: Block 30 mins every Tuesday or Thursday (before the day starts or after lunch) Start by learning just one topic: case selection, scanning, or scripting Implement what...

When patients say no to aligners, it’s rarely about money. It’s about trust. Early on, I quoted fees and hoped they’d say yes. But once I started asking better questions and explaining why it mattered, things changed. That's when most of my consults ended with a yes. Try these two shifts to improve your acceptance rate: Ask better questions. Instead of “do you want to straighten your teeth?” ask: “Has anyone ever mentioned your teeth are in an unhealthy position?” Frame the benefits around...

Most docs try to get aligners going on their own. Then feel frustrated when the team doesn’t support it. I was there too. I tried to do everything myself — scanning, educating, managing trays. My assistant was confused, my front desk forgot follow-ups, and cases stalled. When I finally trained my team the right way, everything changed. Here’s how to get your team on board fast: Start with a 15-min huddle: Explain why aligners matter (not just for you — but for patients) Front desk = follow-up...
