Why saying yes is slowing you down

If you want to grow, you have to say no.

Going into 2026, you will need to say no to more things than you say yes to.

If clear aligners are not the area of your practice you want to grow, you should not watch my free training. You should not sign up for courses. You should not even be thinking about it.

That might sound harsh, but clarity creates speed.

If your goal is to improve schedule efficiency, then the only content you should be consuming and implementing is content that helps you do exactly that.

Everything else is noise.

I struggle with this too.

I get excited about new ideas.

New opportunities.

New directions.

But every time I get crystal clear on the one thing I want to improve and say no to everything else, I get there faster.

Every single time.

Growth does not come from doing more.

It comes from doing less, better.

The bottom line: If everything is a priority, nothing is.

Reply and let me know the one thing you are saying no to today.

If aligners are the one thing you actually want to grow and you are ready to block out the noise, I put together a free training to help you focus and execute:

But sometimes, life has other plans. After being diagnosed with arthritis, Dr. Mariz Tanious was forced to step away from clinical dentistry. What could...

There is a conversation I keep having. It comes up in coaching calls. It comes up after Momentum Meetings. It comes up in the messages I get after a video goes up. It almost always sounds like this: "I know I should be doing more aligner cases. I just don't feel ready yet." I understand that feeling completely. Because every meaningful thing I have built in my career started with it. Practicing as a dentist. Starting clear aligners. Posting my first video online. Building a course. Teaching...

Dr. Avi Patel interviews Dr. Hardik Chodavadia on the Dental Truth Project podcast about practice ownership, leadership, and growth.

Most dentists think successful practice owners have a perfect plan. The reality? They usually don't. Instead of pretending everything was carefully mapped out, Hardik shares the real story: Getting a bank to fund a startup with no business plan. Why being a "terrible employee" pushed him into...
