Why Your Treatment Plans Need to Show More Than Just the Price

Hey Friends,

When it comes to presenting treatment plans, I’ve seen too many dentists make the mistake of only listing a single line—“Clear Aligners: $5500.”

But here’s the thing: patients need to understand why they’re investing that amount and what they’re getting in return.

Take a few minutes to list everything you’re providing for that $5500: unlimited appointments, retainers, digital scans, before-and-after photos, the aligners themselves, and even materials.

Stack the value and show them that their investment covers much more than just the aligners.

Seeing 10 things they’re getting for $5500 looks a lot better than seeing just one item for the same price.

Next time you present a treatment plan, make sure it highlights all the value you’re already offering.

It makes a world of difference in how patients perceive the investment.

Let me know what you think!

Win of the Week

Dr. Olufunke Osineye got a win this week and deserves to be celebrated!

She joined our Aligner Blueprint program last year and never got around to watching the course videos.

We followed up with her last month to see where she was at and she said "the practice and life got busy so I wasn't able to focus on the course. I need some accountability and support with cases - please help."

She was a perfect candidate for our VIP Launchpad program so we got her enrolled and within a week she started a case - check it out

This is what leveling up looks like.

Dr. Osineye spent $0 in marketing - she is focusing on EXISTING patients in her practice.

She showed and had a discussion with the patient about their oral health during the appointment.

Her team offered flexible financing options to decrease the financial burden.

Case acceptance is going up.

She got CONFIDENCE after we spoke... but trust me she worked the magic - I just pointed her in the direction ;)

If you want to feel like Dr. Osineye - you can.

Your first step is getting into Aligner Blueprint.

Straight Talk

If you’re using clear aligners and want to achieve any degree of anterior intrusion, there’s a proven method that’ll get you there—starting with the Galler Anterior Intrusion Protocol (GAIP).

For those using Invisalign, here’s how you do it. Utilize bite ramps on teeth 7-10 (1.2 - 2.2) and place lingual attachments on 22 (3.3) and 27 (4.3). Next, add a horizontal bevel on the maxillary first and second premolars, as well as on the mandibular second premolars. Don't forget the G5 deep bite attachments on the first mandibular premolars. And here’s the real kicker: simply request your technician to “Please add GAIP,” and they’ll handle the rest.

For those using other clear aligner brands, the approach is similar. Use bite ramps on 7-10 (1.2 - 2.2), lingual attachments on 22 (3.3) and 27 (4.3), and horizontal deep bite attachments on the first mandibular premolars. It’s a straightforward setup, and when done right, it leads to consistent, predictable results.

The key here is understanding that precision matters. When you master this protocol, you're not just working with aligners—you're engineering the ideal bite and alignment for your patient. That’s how you build confidence in your results, and that’s how your practice becomes known for delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes.

So if you’re looking to make anterior intrusion work in your aligner cases, start with this approach. Get it dialed in, and watch your results speak for themselves.

I have had this conversation more times than I can count. A doctor reaches out. They joined a DSO two years ago. They were told they would have clinical autonomy, a supportive team, and real income growth. They were told the organization cared about doctors. Then the first major business decision came down the line. And the doctor was not in the room. This is the most common friction point I hear. Not because DSOs are inherently bad. But because there is a gap between what gets promised...

There is a moment that happens in almost every aligner case. The patient leaves your office motivated. They have their trays. They know the rules. Twenty-two hours a day. Remove to eat. Clean before reinserting. And then real life happens. They grab lunch at their desk. They do not have a toothbrush. So they rinse with water, put the tray back in, and keep going. Happens at dinner. Happens at happy hour. Happens every single day for the length of their treatment. You already know what that...

When I was in dental school, success looked like one thing. Own a practice. Fill your schedule. Build a loyal patient base. Work hard for 30 years. Retire. That was the plan. That was what we were all quietly working toward. Nobody told me that owning a practice would feel like running a small business with no business training. Nobody told me that insurance reimbursements would keep shrinking while overhead kept climbing. Nobody told me I would be working harder than I ever imagined and...
